Meet the Counselor
Hello! I am honored and excited to be the counselor of Winnsboro Memorial Intermediate School. It is a delight to be able to uplift and cheer on our students as they strive to develop personal discipline and social skills. R.J. Palacio said, “Courage. Kindness. Friendship. Character. These are the qualities that define us as human beings, and propel us, on occasion, to greatness.” At WISD we are committed to helping each child reach his or her potential intellectually, academically, socially, and emotionally. I believe education is a discovery-driven journey and I am honored to be a part of a team of educators that strive to work collaboratively with home to nurture a love of lifelong learning in our students.
My journey in public education began in 2008 when I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. After being a stay at home mom for 5 years, I accepted my first teaching job at Memorial Middle School in 2013. In 2020 I received my master's degree in School Counseling from UT TYLER and delightedly accepted the job as a counselor for WISD's newest campus, WMIS! I am excited to serve the students in a new role. Please feel free to contact me if I can be of service to you or your child.
